Winter Shelter Recap
December 2012 - January 2013

The St. Mark’s Winter Shelter (WISH) program is a seasonal collaborative effort that supports the mission and strategic objective of the St. Mark’s United Methodist Church to serve and demonstrate God’s love to Sacramento’s homeless community. It is part of an ongoing effort to help eradicate involuntary homelessness and find viable solutions to eliminate barriers that lead to homelessness.

For its third consecutive winter, St. Mark’s WISH program rolled out on December 16-22, 2012 and January 14-19, 2013 by harnessing donated resources from the St. Mark’s congregation, the business sector, Sacramento’s inter-faith community and other local partners, while optimizing private and government funding made available to sponsoring non-profit organizations.
