Since launching in January 2025\, the Second Saturday Respite Center has provided a warm and welcoming space for our unhoused neighbors—and we’re excited to announce that we will continue offering it year-round. \nThis effort is co-sponsored by Arden Arcade HART and Saint Mark’s Mercy Pedalers\, and takes place every Second Saturday of the month from 9 a.m. to noon at Grace Café\, located on the Saint Mark’s campus. \nGuests are welcomed with: \n\nA hot breakfast\nA meal in a bag to take with them\nAccess to free showers\, along with full hygiene kits\nA clean set of clothes\, including fresh underwear\n\nWe’ve seen firsthand the difference these basic services can make in restoring dignity and offering hope. For those without transportation\, volunteers provide rides to and from the Arcade Library area\, ensuring that everyone who wants to attend has a way to get there. \nIf you’d like to get involved—by volunteering\, donating supplies\, or simply learning more—please reach out. Together\, we’re making Second Saturdays a day of comfort\, care\, and community.

DESCRIPTION:What began as a winter outreach effort has now become a permanent part of our community care. Since launching in January 2025\, the Second Saturday Respite Center has provided a warm and welcoming space for our unhoused neighbors—and we’re excited to announce that we will continue offering it year-round. \nThis effort is co-sponsored by Arden Arcade HART and Saint Mark’s Mercy Pedalers\, and takes place every Second Saturday of the month from 9 a.m. to noon at Grace Café\, located on the Saint Mark’s campus. \nGuests are welcomed with: \n\nA hot breakfast\nA meal in a bag to take with them\nAccess to free showers\, along with full hygiene kits\nA clean set of clothes\, including fresh underwear\n\nWe’ve seen firsthand the difference these basic services can make in restoring dignity and offering hope. For those without transportation\, volunteers provide rides to and from the Arcade Library area\, ensuring that everyone who wants to attend has a way to get there. \nIf you’d like to get involved—by volunteering\, donating supplies\, or simply learning more—please reach out. Together\, we’re making Second Saturdays a day of comfort\, care\, and community.
